We are Gamelyn Games - creators of the Tiny Epic series and Heroes of Land, Air & Sea. We are a passionate board game company based out of Arizona. We believe each board game should be a collective masterpiece of artwork with a highly tested design, stunning visuals, and innovative components made exclusively with the highest quality materials. But... how did it all start? Let's hear it from our founder - Michael!
I was working as a bartender when I was inspired by some motivational speakers to pursue my passions. I knew that I did not want to work in restaurants and bars my entire life so I began designing a board game called Lords, Ladies & Lizards.
I formed Gamelyn Games, LLC with my wife Brittany Coe and I began researching how to sell or publish Lords, Ladies & Lizards. I learned about Kickstarter, BoardGameGeek.com and GenCon.
Brittany and I drained our combined savings of only $900, risking it all, to attend GenCon and attempt to land a publishing deal for Lords, Ladies & Lizards. We were unsuccessful. I went back to the drawing board and began working on new design ideas and decided that I would use Kickstarter to self-publish.
We launched our first Kickstarter as Gamelyn Games for a game I designed called Dungeon Heroes. This project funded successfully and became the first published title for Gamelyn Games.
We also launched and funded successfully my second self-published design Fantasy Frontier in 2013.
